Job Description

Multiple openings for someone to set-up, operate, and trouble shoot a variety of CNC machines (mostly Milling and Turning).

These are temp-to-hire jobs on 2nd shift!

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for “in process” component inspection, both visual and dimensional, using specialty gages and standard measuring tools (micrometer, caliper, optical comparator, CMM)
  • Responsible for stopping the machine when parts do not meet requirements
  • Able to troubleshoot part and machine deviation issues
  • Maintain production records
  • Make off sets to maintain product acceptance
  • Change tooling at prescribed intervals/counts
  • Make minor program changes/revisions under the direction of supervisor
  • Carry out 1st article inspections at change overs
  • Train others in the operation of CNC machines and all related inspection equipment

Job Requirements

  • High School graduate or demonstration of equivalent skills
  • Read and understand CNC G & M codes
  • Ability to set up (change over) CNC machines to meet production requirements
  • Understand Quality Control principles which may include SPC
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to understand written instructions
  • Ability to understand and follow directions
